Gynecologist Bogenhausen: easily accessible at Munich Central Station
Anyone looking for a gynecologist in Bogenhausen usually wants short travel times and a practice that fits well into their daily routine. Our practice is not located in Bogenhausen, but centrally at the Central Station. Nevertheless, the journey is uncomplicated from many parts of Bogenhausen: the U4 line connects Arabellapark, Richard-Strauss-Straße, Böhmerwaldplatz, and Prinzregentenplatz directly to the Central Station.
You can find the current route and timetable at the Munich Transport and Tariff Association (MVV). From the Central Station, you can reach our practice at Bayerstraße 21 in just a few minutes on foot.
The central location is particularly convenient if you want to combine appointments with work, family, or other errands in the city center. Our office hours are Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 7:30 PM.
Personal gynecology with time for your concerns
Gynecological topics are often very personal. Some questions can be clarified quickly, while others require more time, a careful medical history, and clear explanation. This is exactly the environment we want to offer you.
We listen, take your symptoms seriously, and discuss with you which diagnostics are appropriate for your situation. Medical decisions should remain understandable for you. This is not about a rigid scheme, but about care that takes your life phase, your medical history, and your personal wishes into account.
Even if you haven't seen a gynecologist for a long time, feel uncertain about an examination, or would like to address a sensitive topic, you can speak openly about it. We will explain each step and coordinate the procedure with you.
Our gynecological services for patients from Bogenhausen
As a gynecological practice, we support you with many questions regarding your health. Our range of services extends from regular check-ups to specialized consultations.
Check-ups and early detection
During a gynecological check-up, we combine a medical consultation, individual risk assessment, and the appropriate examination. Which early detection tests are useful depends on factors such as age, medical history, and personal risk. Age-specific offers apply to organized cervical cancer screening. A neutral overview is provided by the Federal Joint Committee (G-BA). During your personal appointment, we will discuss which examinations are specifically relevant for you. Our services also include breast examinations, breast ultrasounds, and cancer follow-up care.
Pregnancy, fertility, and family planning
If you are pregnant, we will support you with pregnancy and postnatal care from early pregnancy through to the postpartum period. We combine medical check-ups with clear advice and space for your questions. For fertility and family planning, we will discuss your situation in a structured manner and clarify which diagnostic or advisory steps make sense next.
Endometriosis, hormones, and menopause
Severe menstrual pain, recurring lower abdominal discomfort, or difficulty conceiving can be reasons for an endometriosis consultation. We take your symptoms seriously and work together to determine which diagnostic and treatment options are appropriate. For cycle changes, PCOS-related symptoms, or other hormonal issues, we offer targeted clarification of hormonal disorders. You can also turn to us with your questions during perimenopause and menopause; we offer dedicated menopause counseling for this.
Contraception and sensitive counseling
The contraceptive method that suits you depends on many factors: your life phase, your priorities, potential symptoms, and medical requirements. We provide individual advice on the various options. Topics such as pain during intercourse, libido, shame, or distressing experiences can also be addressed in a safe, protected environment. Our sexual health counseling creates space for questions that are often difficult to bring up in everyday life.
Gynecologist Bogenhausen: How to prepare for your first appointment
You don’t need to have everything perfectly prepared for your first visit. It is helpful to briefly note down what is currently on your mind: symptoms, changes in your cycle, questions about contraception, family planning, pregnancy, or any other concerns. This allows us to focus our conversation on your priorities right from the start.
If you have them, please bring any relevant documents. This may include previous medical reports, surgical records, lab results, doctor’s letters, a current medication list, your vaccination record, or your maternity record if you are pregnant. If you are missing any documents, we can still have a productive appointment.
- Note down any symptoms, including when they started, how they have progressed, and any potential triggers.
- Bring any existing medical records and a list of your current medications.
- Write down the questions you definitely want to address during the appointment.
- Be open about it if you feel nervous about examinations or if you would prefer to just talk first.
Especially with sensitive topics, it can be a relief to view the first appointment as a collaborative process. We will discuss what is important today, which examinations make sense, and what the next steps should be. You should leave the appointment with a clear plan—not with more questions than you started with.

Specialist experience and personal support
I am Dr. med. Ellen Hahn, and I have been a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics since 2018. I completed my medical studies at the University of Regensburg and the Technical University of Munich. In 2013, I earned my doctorate at the Women's Clinic of the Technical University of Munich.
My specialist training took me to the Women's Clinic of the Lucerne Cantonal Hospital and the Munich Clinic Harlaching, among others. Through my many years of clinical experience in Level 1 hospitals in Switzerland and Munich, I am familiar with both complex gynecological situations and the realities of daily clinical obstetrics. From 2020 to 2025, I worked as a staff physician in a Munich gynecological practice.
As a mother of two, I am also familiar with many of the questions and uncertainties surrounding fertility, pregnancy, and the postpartum period from my own experience. While this personal perspective does not replace medical assessment, it helps me to provide attentive and empathetic support in sensitive situations.
